    sealing BAL micromax grout

it looks the word "protector" is used rather than "sealant" regarding grout sealing - is anyone aware of the Fila Fugaproof?: http://www.screwfix.com/p/fila-fugaproof-grout-protector-500ml/63440

    sealing BAL micromax grout

I allowed a few minutes for the slaking....then remixed and still the stuff was a bit too hard for my liking - next time I'd ignore the packaging instructions and go with the "flow" (literally). How can I seal the grout without affecting the tiles? - the lines are not larger than 2.5mm...-...

    sealing BAL micromax grout

I'm a bit disappointed by BAL micromax's mixing instructions - I strongly believe these are over conservative regarding the quantity of water required for the mixing and pushing the grout into the grooves wasn't easy....the finish looks a bit rough and therefore more prone to keeping moisture...

    fiber optic engines anyone?

How difficult would it be to install a led to fibre optic engine up in the loft and lay the fibre optic strands to reach some glass tiles on the floor (an average run of 5 metres). From what I've seen this isn't a diy job and require some specialized and expensive tools....still, some fibre...

    fiber optic engines anyone?

why don't they mention the length of the fibres? It seem the most obvious factor.... http://www.topfreebiz.com/product/7082557/Wonderful-DIY-PMMA-LED-Fiber-Optic-Star-Ceiling-Lighting-Kits.htm I've seen many similar adverts and the length aren't mentioned (that's a mystery)....number of...

    fiber optic engines anyone?

great stuff....my imagination is running wild - all the things one can do....put that alongside glass tiles...under the shower head....underwater, inside a fish tank...

    fiber optic engines anyone?

any link of these long strand systems? It seems there are plenty of shorter fiber optic engines and I don't see much practical use with these.

    Cheap 6" inline bathroom fan?

if I was that selfish I would had kept this little secret for myself....you can now save a bit of cash the next time you buy a fan (just ignore the hydroponic label and you can land a cheaper deal) - c'mon send me my first well deserved "thank" :D I've just bought an "hydroponic" one...it...

    fiber optic engines anyone?

This is totally new stuff to me but it seems very interesting....artificial colored light anywhere; even inside the shower while keeping the light engine in the loft connected to fiber optic wherever one fancy (wow). Then, I don't understand...I see this filaments seems not more than a couple...

    Cheap 6" inline bathroom fan?

like what floor covering? smelly carpets infected with bacteria? Get updated, get an UFH mat, cover with tile adhesive and stick some porcelain tiles on top - can't get any better than that....

    Cheap 6" inline bathroom fan?

what can we do? Ring trading standards? Dunno, but I'll pay £27 instead of £33 and ignore those silly labels - that's something (don't I deserve a "thank" for that alone?). Not only my cat loves UFH - my naked feet too....c'mon BAS you'll never know till you try...

    Cheap 6" inline bathroom fan?

you lousy GOF - oh....I forgot to tell you, my cat loves the new UFH I've just installed! (let's keep this thread going - there a chance some real experts will shed some light - obviously you don't have a clue....but thanks for googling for me....

    Cheap 6" inline bathroom fan?

Hi BAS: (you'll be able to argue with a brick) "It doesn't make any difference..." Of course it does make a difference! Buy any fan regardless of any "hydroponic" or "bathroom" labels (for a shower is different though) - that alone saves me about £6 on a bathroom fan costing £33 which can be...

    Cheap 6" inline bathroom fan?

It's not that simple....some "hydroponic" fans are more expensive than their "bathroom" equivalent (so, hydroponics aren't necessarily cheaper). This really is a case of speculative labels marketing and prices depends on stock and shop policies - the good for us consumers is to know that the...

    Cheap 6" inline bathroom fan?

OK, I try again.... What's the difference between so called "hydroponic" fans and in line fans for e.g. a bathroom?! I'm tempted to save a bit of cash by buying an "hydroponic" (for a bathroom) which presents the same technical performance of a so labeled "bathroom" in line fan....oh, these...

    Cheap 6" inline bathroom fan?

"Not all hydroponic installations are illegal!" not only that....even trying to find out the basic differences between "hydroponic" and "normal" in line fans is apparently taboo - try to google and find out...there is nothing about - why? Will the "talebans" running this forum stop deleting...

    power inside a bathroom

hold your horses....the product is "CE uk passed" marked and seems of decent quality to me - the manuals are just about right, only a bit too "minimalistic" for such a complex item (for example there is no info about the performance of the fan) and one can tell they haven't spent much...
