Are these quotes correct? And true purpose of inner felt?

Hi Ree, thanks for reply. I'll get a photo of outside later today. Please see below for the inside felt. Advice would be much appreciated, at least before roofers start removing tiles!

Are these quotes correct? And true purpose of inner felt?

Hi, thanks for replying. They are concrete overlapping tiles, original from 60's. Have tried best to look from ground level outside and can't see a particularly broken or damaged tile. What is your opinion on the quotes, if it is just a tile? Thanks

Are these quotes correct? And true purpose of inner felt?

Following extreme weather the day before, I discovered a small, dribbling leak coming through some ripped inner felt in my 1960's roof. This felt has been ripped for several years with no leaks. The rip is quite large, the width if two beams and about 3 inches in height. Had 2 roofers quote...

Build a box or replace toilet?

Hi John, thanks very much for lengthy reply. Just had another look at the flexy and I think the angle of the top-down photos makes it look worse. From the side it's not kinked but does take a turn so I will take on your suggestion! The overflow pipe is now out of use as the new flush valve has...

Build a box or replace toilet?

Hi John, thanks for the info. Am getting quotes for the box behind it. Can you elaborate more on the flexible connecter? Why is it a liability and how can I not have a bend in it? Thank you, Matt

Build a box or replace toilet?

Hi Wayners, thanks for reply. Will a box be enough to secure it in case someone leans back on it? In your experience, how much does it cost to build a box like that? Thanks

Build a box or replace toilet?

I replaced my bathroom floor and in the process, broke my 20+ year old toilet. I've fit the pictured toilet but it's a 17-18cm gap to the wall, and causing the cistern to lean forward. Should I have a box built around it, or replace it all? It's close cistern and others I've found won't reach...

Hello opps, thanks very much for your reply and info. Regarding how they were laid, the below is taken from the invoice. I'm afraid a lot of the terminology is lost on me but might be able to provide some insight: "Stage 1: The existing patio & front step to be dug down to the original...

Standing Water on New Patio, trade company AWOL

Hello all. In Feb this year I had a new patio laid. Everything seemed fine at the time and paid as was happy with the job. Now summer is (finally) starting, the kids have played in the paddling pool on the patio and I've noticed I'm getting standing water, two sections of which are right up...
