Keyless entry and what will happen?

As an owner of a (warmish) performance car with keyless entry & start, this infuriates me. It's all about convenience for the consumer & security can take a back seat. Yes it is easier to leave the keys in your pocket, but is it really worth the inconvenience of having your car stolen? I think...

    Cable identity

No, I don't think they are rated for mains - they are normally used for CB microphones. I think there must have been a "wall wart" of some description at the other end of the cable.

Rats are back again. Out of ideas.

I'm no drain expert, but the entry into the inspection chamber from upstairs looks like it's angled against the flow and kinda just thrown in. Could you install an IR IP camera under the floor with pan and tilt to see where they are coming in? They might chew it though!

Need a support for a shower curtain rail

I think you need to have another look at your fixings at the end above the shower - looking at the rail in relation to the tile grout lines, it is already falling down.

Kindly help recommend car light bulbs

Driving lights will only come on with full beam. It's illegal to use front fog lights unless in "conditions of seriously reduced visibility". I'm not sure that poor eye sight would fall into that category!

complete brake failure, I'm a lucky boy

I also couldn't floor the accelerator. Or use the full travel of the brake pedal if there was a problem with the brakes for example. Like I said - not in full control of the vehicle.

complete brake failure, I'm a lucky boy

You required a lesson to become aware of this? I would not feel in control of the vehicle otherwise. I couldn't operate the clutch correctly for a start, as both my legs are roughly the same length.

TLC's UTP CAT5e cable is Copper Clad Aluminium!?

I visited TLC in Southampton recently, looking for some cat5e and had concerns over being sold CCA. I was relieved when they produced a reel of solid copper stuff and told me that is the only stuff they stock.

The two devices in the outside box look like RCBOs to me?

    Tripping RCBO

Starbreaker so should be easy enough. Thanks for the advice.

    Tripping RCBO

The feed is 2.5 t &e and exits the CU which is at ceiling level into the loft (bungalow), then is surface clipped down the wall into the secondary CU, so I guess it will be ok long term?
