Boiler has been fine for six-ish years since I've lived here but I've woken up in the morning to the pilot light being out 5 or 6 times in the last fortnight. It re-lights easy enough but guessing something is wrong. Any ideas? Thanks!

I'm off to Oz this week and back the week before Christmas. I was going to set the heating/hot water to come on for 30 mins a day in the morning just to keep everything ticking over and to avoid burst pipes, etc. Does this sound ok? Cheers! Simon

The bulb in my oven is currently a 25w bulb but none of the replacements I can find will fit (the bulb head is too large for the glass case). I assume there's no problem me replacing it with a 15w bulb (which has a smaller head). Apart from the fact the light won't be as bright I guess...

Yes! In the airing cupboard is a timer with two switches - one for hw and one for ch. ch is turned to off during the summer but recently the radiators have still been coming on. If I turn them both off then it's ok (but the hot water runs out!). Thanks for all the info folks - I'm going to...

I've noticed recently that the house was getting a bit warm and was surprised to find the radiators were hot even though the central heating is turned off in the airing cupboard!!! Any ideas how this mght be? Cheers Simon
