nice tip for setting rendering beads: get your render bead cut to size then measure the wing, say the wing is 50mm measure 30mm off the corner and mark it on the wall, do the same at the bottom then string and ping it, dob out the bead and push it up lineing the edge of the wing to the chalk...

i used to have one mate but i hated it, i had the same problem i think it was the fuel sensor solonoid (cnt remember exactly what it was called) but we had the same problem, but managed to get it fixed for free as i had just bought it. just to be sure when sitting idol it doesnt "kangaroo"...

i reckon youll be alright mate, i might have given it a spaltter coat first just to give a nice key for the first coat, but you cut the grooves so youll be ok

that dnt sound to bad actually mate i reckon you will get away with it, but did you put waterproofer in the scratch coat?, make sure your next coat is a 5:1 mix fella, any more questions you need answering or you ok with the info you got?

its a basement when they damp proofed it they put the electics on first without a scratch coat then renderd around them and as a result the water has come in behind the boxes wicked into the plaster and knackerd it. he is determined not to have the old render taken off despite my advice to take...
