    try softbond from ecoscape. It is a very good product we use on childrens gardens and nurserys we do. Relativly easy to lay, although a bit messy.

    trust the sun to get it wrong. ANyway without bringing up that subject again, yes you can own one to use for diy without a licence. But they are a very dangerous bit of kit and even the right safety gear wont protect you if you use it in the wrong way, and it goes wrong.

    if you phone up any local beekeeper or decent pest company they will remove them and rehouse them. Are they ground bees?

    you dont want a dpc memebrane. it will hold moisture against the boards and speed up the rotting.

    once a year is fine. With new decking i tend to leave it till the green tinge from the preseravtive has gone off. The oil will never go as far as the tin says, especially when its dry!

    i reguarly see stained decks, that have worn or flaked or not taken properly. The stain does nothing to nourish the wood either. Once youve stained it thats it youre stuck with it. Oil will nourish the wood and keep it looking good.

    easiest way is to run a 6 x 2 under the joists at 90 degrees to them, but to be honest, once the deck planks are on, it wont move anywhere

    100mm screws are fine, anything else is way over the top. yes that method is absolutley fine for fixing the joists
