Exactly what just been said. Hollow coring is the way to go. Compaction will encourage weeds like plantago major, moss etc as the drainage becomes poor. If possible, dont cut the affected area as much to let the grass leaf grow or if cutting is a must, raise the hight of your cut.

Hi armo74. Its at its mostly violent when the boiler kicks in but it does make a slight noise when u turn the kitchen tap off and the barthroom taps but the noise is fron under the kitchen floor.

many thanks for the reply. Guess I was to early in fixing the cracks the first time. Not sure what masonry keyed or furrfix means but it was a timber framed with breeze blocks then rendered. Il try and dig out some old pics and see if there's anything to answer that part. Lol
