    Cold line of radiators.

Thanks all - It is a balancing problem... Does anyone know what the temperature differential should be between the flow and return pipes on a Baxi Solo 2 80pf ? It's not mentioned in any of my literature.

    Cold line of radiators.

Tried turning all the rads off, switched pump to highest setting (3) and opened the three rads in question up full. Worked a treat :D BUT when all the other rads are back on and the pump is back to two I can feel the flow pipe into the rads is absolutely boiling hot but on the the other side...

    Cold line of radiators.

I have three radiators downstairs that are fitted from the same line and none of them are that interested in warming up. The flow and return run in parallel for about seven metres with a small radiator at the end, using four ‘T’ pieces the other two radiators are ‘T’ pieced off of the flow and...

Building Controls - Have I contravened them?

I had a look at our area's Regularisation' form and they aren't interested in pre 2005 wiring (not that I have any) and it would seem that the only thing I am lacking is a fan (which the old smaller kitchen never had either) so, rightly or wrongly - I am going to sit on the problem for the next...

Building Controls - Have I contravened them?

Thanks for the info - My gas pipe was installed by a Corgi registered engineer, the cooker was a straightforward bayonet connection. I think I need to talk to the planning department.

Building Controls - Have I contravened them?

Hmm - Doesn't look to good then :( Just to clarify, the garage had already been fully converted to a utility room before I purchased the property, this includes a brick wall and window in lieu of the garage door which I assume has full approval, my only addition is that of a gas cooker.

Building Controls - Have I contravened them?

What a mine of information this forum is  We moved into our 1930s detached house eight years ago and to be honest the place was a disaster zone and we have extensively redecorated, wallpapered, carpetted etc. Our downstairs bathroom had a sort of cupboard space behind the door which we...

baxi solo 2 pf 80 - Leaking Water

Due to the cold and needs must I investigated this leak a little further. It would appear that the boiler only leaks water and reduces the pressure in the system when the boiler is actually off and even then it only leaks for about 10 minutes - However, due to the PCB being directly underneath...

    Boiler Replacement - Regulations....!

Thanks - No problem with the gas pipe really. The house has two bathrooms. Any recommendations for a boiler? Does 30kw seem OK?

    Boiler Replacement - Regulations....!

Hi All - Due to a cracked Heat Exchanger I am having to consider a boiler replacement :( My house is a reasonably large detached 1930s construction with a 1970s single storey extension. My boiler is currently a Baxi Solo 2 80 PF and it supplies a total of 13 double radiators (including...
