Waste water pipe along back of electric cooker

So that would be Oven, Sink, DW. (instead of Oven, DW, Sink). Out of curiosity, in what way would this be better? Perhaps as outlet at back of DW is higher than that of sink?

Waste water pipe along back of electric cooker

built-in dishwasher would be an option too

Waste water pipe along back of electric cooker

and run from sink to outlet at wall would be 3.7 metres.

Waste water pipe along back of electric cooker

It's a free standing cooker, but perhaps it's possible then with a built-in oven? It's a floor board floor with joists running parallel with the direction of waste.

Waste water pipe along back of electric cooker

Would it be possible to configure appliances as shown in the schematic below so that the waste flow pipe from a dish washer and a kitchen sink can travel along the back of an electric cooker? I had a look on Curry's website looking at the sideview of multiple electric cookers and from what I...

Height of oil tank from ground for gravity feed?

Thanks for that - I understand the schematic now. So these height distances for gravity feed (no tiger loop fitted).

Height of oil tank from ground for gravity feed?

And is the tiger loop something that is generally an additional attachment to the boiler? Or do modern boilers come with a tiger loop as standard?

Height of oil tank from ground for gravity feed?

Had a look at the schematic but not sure what it's indicating.

Height of oil tank from ground for gravity feed?

If modern burners have a tiger loop which uses burner's own pump to transfer oil from tank to burner, what is the purpose of placing a tank up on breeze blocks or a metal stand? I had thought it was to allow the oil to transfer from the tank to boiler by gravity, but perhaps doing this is not...

Height of oil tank from ground for gravity feed?

So if either a) or b) below is the case (or both together), and a condensing boiler is used (not a system boiler) then presumably some sort of pump is required to transfer oil from tank to boiler. Where is such a pump located - inside the house/garage? If it's an external boiler, I guess the...

Oil Tank - laying 50mm thick concrete flags for base

When installing an oil tank on 50mm thick concrete flags with 300mm clearance from tank to end of concrete flag base on each side, presumably the flags do not necessarily have to sit "atop" the surrounding concrete surface? This would mean that they would be 60mm higher than surrounding concrete...

Wall mounted condensing oil boilers v floor oil boilers

Really what I mean is, once an external oil boiler is installed (wall or floor), he seemed to think that wall mounted condensing heat only boilers would have more ongoing malfunctioning issues.

Pressurised cylinder in a non-sealed system?

Can a pressurised cylinder for hot water be used in a fully pumped open vented system (not a sealed system)? I'm just wondering as it would allow change to sealed system at later date without requiring new pressurised cylinder.

Wall mounted condensing oil boilers v floor oil boilers

A heating engineer suggested that in general external wall mounted condensing oil boilers give more problems than a floor standing external condensing oil boiler even of same brand. He suggested this might be due to manufacturers attempting to cram the same components into a smaller space. Any...

Brick Slips or Hearth first - prep for wood burner

I was watching the video below by Which? about wood burning stoves. The still shown below shows the hearth.; it looks more or less level with the ground. I believe the hearth is required to be of a certain thickness to comply with regs, though the is 7 years old so perhaps different requirements...

Brick Slips or Hearth first - prep for wood burner

If prepping a fireplace for a wood burner, would I be right in thinking it's best to install the brick slips against the 3 internal walls of the fireplace first and then lay the hearth into the fireplace after this. Otherwise, if the hearth is positioned first, then when the brick slips are...

Sealed Heating System (with unvented hot water tank)

Thanks for that. I'm not a plumber so I'd just assumed all the pipework would all have to be copper in a sealed system. Interesting that certain pipe/fittings manufacturers may produce plastic pipes/fittings that can be used in a sealed system.

Sealed Heating System (with unvented hot water tank)

If a sealed heating system (with unvented hot water tank) is put in place can: a) either plastic or copper pipework be used? b) since system is "sealed" does this make it more complicated than it would be otherwise to either remove/replace a radiator to the system in the future? Thanks.

Grant Eco Utility Range and System

From what I can see the primary difference in these two boilers is that the System version is that "System models are supplied with a factory fitted expansion vessel, filling loop, pressure gauge, automatic air vent, pressure relief valve and high efficiency circulating pump enabling the boilers...

    Which External Oil Combi Boiler?

I can only think of two which start with a W. These, and of course WB. What other brand do you prefer?
