    how did you fasten the plwood down? if you screwed it you may have gone through the damp proof membrane. there wesnt a black covering on the floor was there?

    as long as the floor is solid you can use a 2 part adhesive. bal fastflex or dunlop tile on wood rapid will do the job. dont use a pre mixed one from diy chains as they take weeks to go off

    you stick the boards down with adhesive mate. warmup do ufh and boards to match. just google warmup and it should be easy to find from there

    just stick insulating boards onto the concrete lay the ufh and tile directly onto it. you will then have 10mm board 5mm adhesive under the board 10mm ties and 2-3mm ufh. overall roughly 30mm thickness where as now you will have about 15mm thicness depending on existing tiles

    gcol if people want to save height in there own kitchen then just saying that you can use 6mm ply if you want. i dont use 6mm as standard i normally use 9mm no more ply or ditra. just giving people an option thats all. never had one call back to a 6mm ply floor in over 5 years

    i have put 6mm down on numerous occasions when its not been possible to put thicker ply down. eg upvc doors,appliances etc. as long as its screwed down secure and a quality spf is used you shouldnt have a problem.

    if the floorboards are solid you could use 6mm ply screwed down every 4 inch. if not so solid try putting no more ply down. its more expensive than ply but much better
