Revert room back to original garage format

No concerns about devaluing property as have sufficient bedrooms and the property is located where parking is very difficult. Would allow for second car to be parked off-road. For my general reference, I assume the 150 depth only applies if there is an internal door between the house and...

Revert room back to original garage format

Struggling to find information on reverting a room back to it's original integral garage format. We are looking into purchasing this UK-based property and we're trying to understand whether this is a simple/achievable task or whether we'd be wasting our time. Property is a bungalow with...

Can I apply Cuprinol Fence and Shed Protector with a Cuprinol Spray Gun?

Cheers Nige F for the constructive/educated feedback. It's a shame that other people find the need to reply when they have nothing valuable to offer.

Can I apply Cuprinol Fence and Shed Protector with a Cuprinol Spray Gun?

I have installed the second part (8 panels) of our fence and want to paint it "Golden Brown". I sprayed the last lot but cannot find this colour in their current range of sprayable paints. Can I apply Cuprinol Fence and Shed Protector with a Cuprinol Spray Gun? The blurb says apply 2-3 coats...

Advice fitting polycarbonate sheet to greenhouse

Hi, Looking to upcycle the greenhouse which we inherited with our house. There are various panes of glass missing and I have been pondering over replacing these with polycarbonate sheets (in part as we have an almost 2-year old son running around the garden). Is this the best option? We would...

    Guidance Planning Off-Road Parking (please)

There is an existing gateway with dropped kerb, hence we would look to use this as access. The land has only been used as fields, allotment and garden. The only modification required would be an amount of landscaping to level (by filling) part of the land then the addition of a suitable...

    Can I sell integral garage?

Not sure if integral is the right word or not. Property is a bungalow. Garage is the last "room" on one end. It is up to the boundary. Proposal is that neighbour buys garage and the part of the plot that the garage sits on. Nothing to confuse yourself with there.

    Can I sell integral garage?

Potential sale is to neighbouring property. We have spoken of changing the land registry so as garage and drive are on their plot. Will the garage then be covered by their council tax or will they need to be assessed? Maybe the garage is it's own taxable entity?

    Dirty/moving toilet water

Last question (so to cover all bases). Is it possible to add a access cap to an existing bend? Something like the strap-on bosses maybe? Although I've only seen these on a straight run.

    Dirty/moving toilet water

Hi, Home and checked toilet fitment. Four fixings screws (easily removed) but pan seems firmly silicones to the floor. :o( Considering removing the 90 deg elbow from outside - can then inspect. I have seen I can buy a replacement that had an access cap on the bend. Is this a good idea...

    Dirty/moving toilet water

The waste pipe runs slightly down from the toilet to the 90 deg elbow gradually down (horizontally) to the soil pipe branch. What I find strange is that for the dirty water to reach the toilet's u-bend then surely the waste pipe would be partially full of water and the toilet water level would...

    Dirty/moving toilet water

Had another look later tonight and noticed water seems to move/bob when shower is not in use. It is wet and windy inside so could this be weather related? Top of soil-pipe juts out about guttering and has a slotted vent type cap on it. Could it be wind? (The weather type!!) How do we resolve?
