    Electric Boiler Question

Thanks Etaf. I would say little cash to spare. The boiler is the major stumbling block if it needs to come out plus the rest of the speed fit pipework which was likely done by homeowner.

1970s house. I have asked my nephew to get last winters bills but I don't know if he did or not. No gas meter outside but strangely some old pipes in the downstairs cupboard under stairs that are capped off one has an old lever valve on it so don't know if it did have gas at some point. He...

    Electric Boiler Question

Make is strom, I think because the breaker is 63a it will be either 11kw or 14.4kw. I didn't count rads but I think 7 rads is probable.

    Electric Boiler Question

In fact it comes out the boiler on a flexi and joins a couple of meters of copper pipe and then joins plastic speedfit pipe. Looks shoddy to me.

    Electric Boiler Question

Just been to look at a 70s house with my nephew who is looking to buy his first home and the property had an electric boiler in the loft. What I did notice was that where the pipes come out of the boiler they had all been connected up with Flexi hoses, I know you would not do this on a gas...

    Tool Insurance

I will have to get my son to ask if his tools are insured during the day in the van. I don't think there is any additional security measures on the van other than what came as standard from vauxhall.

    Tool Insurance

The van belongs to the company he works for so he can't do any modifications to it. At night he moves his tools into the house or garage so it's just during the day where the tools are most vulnerable.

    Tool Insurance

    Tool Insurance

I have no idea in total but the gas analyser on its own is worth 800 quid.
