shut all the rads off appart from the cold 1 .. let it run till both pipes are red hot .. equal temp.. also check the valves are both open .. if there is a trv on the rad remove the top and check the movement of the pin ..

it is mechanical with a micro switch .. they are not very good to be honest .. but easy to swop .. as you dont need to drain down .. personnaly i would replace the top only .. although the bodies do sometimes fill with crud and sieze up wich in turn burns out the motor.. a proper job...

pull the offending rads off and blow em out with the hose pipe..

i would rip it all out and renew the money it costs will soon be recuperated with the more efficient combi and correctly sized radiators .. y throw money into a empty pit m8. we have guys up here doing a combi and 7 rads for under 2000 ..

you can have radiator bend to fit the bay .. u need to make a jig with the angle of the bend to give to the merchants .

try oiling the formers and guides with a little 3 in 1, it ripples wen it drags in the guide .. first ly small bit of emmery cloth in the guides to get rid of all the grime ..
