with the design of the windows there appears to be no space to fit a slot or trickle vent to them unfortunately
Yes I suppose a wall vent could be an option - was just looking at something I could do easily myself, don't think I have tools/ability to do the wall vent, but could do the ceiling
yes sorry should of mentioned finlock in first post
But the point is that having window open a little seems to solve the problem - but as I said don't have trickle vents, for security can't leave window in that room open so would fitting a ceiling vent so it can get air from the loft work in...
they are concrete "finlock" gutters and these have all just been repaired and fully lined with one piece seamless aluminium, all felt replaced and gutters checked to make sure no leaking behind
could just be still wet/damp and needs a good summer (if we get one!) to dry out fully
will go in loft later and check - I did wonder if perhaps when cavity wall insulation done years ago it was not done properly or has not gone all the way to the top
it is NOT a leak, I have spent enough time checking to know it is condensation and not a leak - it is wiped regularly, hence no black marks - and only happens during winter months, so unless it is a part time leak, then as I said it is condensation
doesn't how up well on photo (magnolia walls) - tried that earlier - basically wet patches at top of wall near ceiling/coving in corner of room, both external walls
hi
I have a condensation issue in one room, getting wet patches at top of wall/coving
Recently had roof and gutter repaired so it is not a leak - also checked above and is dry - so definitely seems to be condensation
If I have window open in room then is okay - but window can't be left...
sorry I was being a bit vague with my post - it is an external wall in a part brick, part upvc porch (with heating), also have same problem in bedroom - again external brick wall - wall is clear of any obstruction so not due to furniture being pushed close up against it etc
Hi
I have concrete (finlock?) gutters and am looking into getting them lined, as have various damp issues in places round top of my walls
I have come across two different products which both seem to be recommended - just wondered if anyone had used these or has any comments to make on them...
hi nickpat
I replaced mine with the st9400c too - and it works really well now - just remember to make note of any "engineers" settings on the old controller - so yout can set the new controller the same - things such as cycle rate etc
And yes it does fit onto same back plate, just two...
Hi
I have concrete gutteting as shown in photo - think it is called finlock although may be wrong
I have no major issues with it, but a couple of small areas of damp inside level with the guttering - so think it could probably do with being resealed/relined
I have done lots of research...
