Personally, I would stay away from the shed's own laminates and go for a quality brand like Quickstep. It is more expensive but I feel it has a tougher wear layer than others. I've had it down in my parents house for nearly 12 years now, and it still looks good as new.

Yes, you can buy the aluminium nosings with a faux wood covering on them, but it depends on whether there are any available which matches closed to the colour of your laminate. Which is why it's best if you take a board or two with you to an independent shop and see what they have available...

I think the best thing you can do is, if you have any spare boards left over, is to take one with you to some local independent flooring shop, and see if they have any nosing to match.

I normally have the tongue side facing the wall, and also on the first row, i trim the tongue off.
