Hanging a large chinese fan on wall

Hi,
I was recently given a large chinese fan depicting a tiger. When opened it measures 62inches by 35inches. I would like to display this on the living room wall, but am unsure how to put it up. Have read a few articles where they suggest using double sided tape. Am unsure if this would work due to the weight of the fan. Does anyone have any other ideas on how to put this up? Have attached a picture of a similar fan.

attach a shelve off say 44- 69mm to the wall and sit on that at an angle to give stability
do not use any adhesive as this will spoil the value off the item
if it has little or no value apart from decorative then 2 or 3 contact points will bare the weight
