    Help identifying type of flooring

I could be wrong, but i don't think it's laminate flooring. It looks more like sheet vinyl flooring or the more expensive karndean/amtico flooring.

    Laminate moving/sliding

What is the thickness are these laminate boards? I was just thinking that if it's a thin board and because it's not a huge area, it's own weight is not heavy enough to hold it down and is moving everytime you walk on it. Which room was this laminate laid in? Do you have any furniture in...

    Floors-To-Go Laminate experiences

Have fitted lots of laminates in the past, but never from Floors-To-Go. Was wondering does the laminate from there have a rubber/plastic stip on the groove, what they call the Megaloc system?

    Vinyl over slightly lifted laminate?

I think 3 weeks is too short to lay the laminate in the extension. The rule of thumb is to allow about 1 month for every 1 inch thickness of concrete sub floor. If there is no damp proof membrane between the concrete and the fibre board underlay, then the underlay would have soaked up the...

    Vinyl over slightly lifted laminate?

Hi, how long did you wait for the concrete and screed to dry properly before laying the laminate? My guess is that the sub-floor has not been allowed to dry thoroughly. Also if laying on a concrete sub-floor you would also need a damp proof membrane before using the fibreboard underlay.

    Bath panel and plinth fitting

I've been asked by a friend to replace the cracked plastic bath panel with a solid oak wooden one. He's purchased it, and it comes in 2 parts, the panel and a plinth. No instructions cames with it, and looking at various images on sites, I'm not sure where the plinth should go. Is it fitted...

Problem with Tacwise 181EL Pro 230v Master Nailer

I have had the above nailer for about 2 years, using it to pin mdf scotia beading onto skirting boards for laminate floors. When I was using it yesterday it suddenly stop firing the 15mm brad nails that I always use. I have checked for jammed nails, changed the fuse, etc, but it's not firing...

Losing pressure, but no leak detected by gas tracer

I had a similar problem with my Worcester boiler in that when the central heating came home, the pressure would drop down to 0 in the red zone. The pressure was perfectly fine when I was using the hot water. Turned out that the pressure vessel needed replacing.

can I lay cushioned vinyl on top of laminate?

Although you can lay the vinyl on top of the laminate, I would suggest the laminate be removed mainly because of the wee that might have soaked into the boards, and underneath

Thanks for that. When I took the old one off, it was slightly dusty but no large debris as such. Took a little hand held vacuum and gave the area a good clean.

Which 6A 1W Ceiling Pull Switch to get?

Thank you all for your recommendations. I went with the MK one in the end from Screwfix as they were out of stock on the Crabtree version. Even with the MK one, you can definitely tell a difference in the quality compared to the old cheap one from Wilkos. Thanks again.
