yes they were replaced before i bought the house. Same on the other side of the house where the gaps were as bad if not worse but as it faced the prevailing weather conditions a roofer rearranged the tiles somewhat and that stopped stopped any draught or damp getting in

there are gaps on the other side and some in the middle as well

the claim is that it is dangerous practice, although i don't see why it should be so in my case as I have it hardwired to a wall outlet which in turn is connected to a switch. It was all done by an electrician as well
