    Cast iron guttering

    Sparks and old birds nests !! Thing is, it could be smouldering away for quite a while before the roof goes up. Hammer and a 2" chissel is what i've always used,not for repairing mind,just when taking them down to replace with plastic.

    This is the whole lot of lead working tools, i would think the cone shaped ones are for opening up lead pipe to take the solder. Any other offers, i am willing to sell these. rob.

    [/url] Those wooden toggles with the rope through the middle of them has got me. The big clamp, is this for holding lead pipes while jointing ? Then there's that copper gauge thing with three points and holes.

    I have the glass and have read the leaflet that comes with it. Doesn't look to hard but is there anything to watch out for,does the original pane come out easily after the screws have been removed. Its only a C02 so not hard to handle.

    Yes give it a go,what have you to lose, hold the ones up around with the broken ones with bits of batten then wiggle the broken ones out. Just make sure the new ones are nicely on the battens.

    What so the condesation is forming on the first layre of tar on the first sheet that was layed ? Only i did a valley in torch on and there was wet stains on the plasterboard that covered the wooden beams that support the center valley. I checked the joints they looked good but i torched more...

    Box section garage roof problem

    I know its a bit late but you could have used the box profile which the under side is coated in cotton. Its more exspensive than the bare sheets but thats exactly whats its for.Anyway thats what they reccon :mrgreen: The cotton soaks up the condensation,maybe it then runs out into the gutter?
