Definitely 3/4" at the shower head end and I've just checked the tap end and it is 3/4" as well.

Do you mean, do I have water coming out of the copper water pipe that connects to the shower to provide it with water? If so, then yes there is adequate water/pressure there but nothing comes out the other end of the shower unit either when it is switched on or off.
