Insurance company, heating would not turn on. Won't fix it!

This would not be classed as an emergency repair,it would be routine maintenence. Emergency means that, water flooding etc. No one could be expected to carry these sort of spares as there are many types, and it can be a good hours job or more if system is old and poorly maintained. I suggest...

    Shower/sink sealant that works!?

Dow Corning is the one i use,get it from pts. As for applying sealant i think most people put too much on. Get it dry, then use nozzle with a small hole in,dont cut it bigger, then apply, wet finger, usually middle one and run along to smooth out silicone, keep finger wet as it stops it...

    unvented cylinder or shower pump?

If you fit an unvented then you can have a balanced cold which is what you generally take to showers so you have equal hot and cold pressures. But you would know all this if you were qualified , as it stands you would be best getting in someone to advise you further. As you cant boil an egg...

Conversion to a fully pumped system

You can fit a pump to ch on a primatic but it cannot be made into a fully pumped system, to achieve this a new cylinder and f&e tank will be required. Had this argument with a sparky who told me i must make it fully pumped to comply with building regs, told him he was a tit and unless customer...

    Is my pump faulty?(WB24i Junior)

You answered your own question, it was cleaned and worked for a day, once they are buggered then its best to change them, and all symptoms you mentioned point to pump as boiler is overheating as it cant get the hot water away fast enough. Only other problem is that once it has overheated badly...

    unvented cylinder or shower pump?

If you need to pump the cold then i doubt you will have an adequate supply for an unvented cylinder, you need to test the flow rate and pressure against manufacturers reccomendations first to ensure your not wasting your money. Plus you must have a relevant qualification to fit an unvented...
