    did they test the incoming mains water pressure ?i would also test the inlet gas pressure, this unit requires 3.1m3h so if it is in the loft i might exspect to see 28mm gas pipe at the meter ,also check the operation of the govenor.

    get an rgi to measure your rooms and calculate your rad sizes ,you can spend as much as u like on controls it will not make your house any warmer if the rads are too small, old stelrads spring to mind.

    is it lead? if so chisel out the plaster/wall under the pipe and dress it into the right position and use a pan connector

    no it doesnt ,it eqalises high pressure to what ever the low pressure supply is by means of an equalibriam valve

    as an installer it is easier to go combi,with open vented and gravity circs there is a lot of pipe work mods plus heat only boilers tend to dearer than combis.
