The knob keeps turning and the light flashes 8 times. Can anyone help please?

My old 6v JCB screwdriver is on its last legs. Which would you reccomend? Will go up to around £100. I've seen the Metabo, Dewalt and Makita all 7.2v. Any advice would be welcome.

Is the machine level? You can adjust the feet on the front and back by turning them.

The other alternative is to cut the earth wire off it's current connector (on the old heater) and crimp a new O Ring connector onto the earh wire. Then slide that over the thread and bolt it on.

I can only think something has got stuck in between the inner drum and outer drum if the drum is stiff to turn. Does it make any noise when you turn it? There should be a back panel you can take off. If not look down the side of the machine. If it has a split down the middle it may be a model...

Sounds like a problem with the pressure system on the water level control. You need to check the pressure vessel and tube which should be located at the back of the machine, at the bottom. Check there are no splits in the rubber tube and that there are no loose connections. You can try...

Has your Dad actually looked in the top/back of the machine to see if the belt has come off? If the belt comes off the drum would usually spin very fast and freely.

You usually find the machine a little noisier after replacing the brushes. They just need time to bed in properly.

Hi there The rubber on the heater expands when fitted. I don't think you'll be able to get this one back in. If it nearly fits you could try putting some washing up liquid round the edge of the rubber. If that doesn't work you will have to get a new heater.

Sounds like the belts come off. Did you put the belt back on?
