    yes -backflow protection, and upstream :? I would have though as far downstream as possible (closer to the outlet-i.e.shower) nut i may be wrong (i am an apprentice so seek further advice to confirm!) BTW - they only allow the water to flow in one direction :wink:

    get a new pressure gauge so that you know the exact pressure - it may be that theres no pressure at all. Whilst you wait for it to be fixed... if your brave enough open a hot tap and keep filling the system (regardless of what the gauge indicates) until the boiler fires then immediatly...
