Ideal Boiler LE fault NOT PCB

If it's not the PCB I'd say it was overheat. Check the thermistor is clipped to the pipe properly and that it's not corroded/damaged etc... If the PCB sees the overheat stat is reading 90C but the thermistor is reading below 70C it assumes there's a software fault thus giving LE. I had...

Ideal Icos HE15 command and burner light flashing

The pump isn't at fault, I'll be one of the 2 port valves sticking intermittantly. A plumber should recognise this from the description of your fault.

Ideal Icos HE15 command and burner light flashing

If you've turned it off at the mains and the pump is still running then something is very wrong. Sounds like you need another plumber to take a look.

Ideal Icos HE15 command and burner light flashing

Sounds like a simple fault to resolve, you probably have a sticking end switch in one of your two-port valves. Have any plumbers/heating engineers actually looked at it?

Worcester Bosch Greenstar 24Ri boiler ripples?

Probably because it was second hand. I'm sure regs say that fitting second hand appliances is allowed... might be wrong.

Worcester Bosch Greenstar 24Ri boiler ripples?

You need a new heat exchanger. I'm afraid I don't know much more about this, it's a familiar Worcester fault though. Give them a ring. If they do a fixed price repair I'd go for that.

    Vaillant Eco-Tec+ 824 F75 Fault.

It could be the sensor but you might want to recharge the expansion vessel too.

Worcester Ri boiler - no blue power light

Of course it's experts! They designed the boiler. What do you think engineers do when they can't solve a problem? You'll need a new PCB.

Worcester Ri boiler - no blue power light

This is a known issue on the combi version of this boiler and it's sorted by pressing a sequence of buttons on the fascia. Obviously you don't have buttons so you can't do this. Give Worcester a call to see if there's anything you can do. If it means a replacement PCB I'd leave it until it...

Idiots guides to thermostats and efficient heating design?

No Get your house as well insulated as possible, have TRVs in the sleeping areas and a weather compensated combi (depending on your hot water requirements) as described above.

    Boiler issue

It's starting to happen a lot on the Juniors, I've changed a few now! Worcester recommend fitting a PRV and mini expansion vessel on the inlet. Not sure if this would effect a warranty claim...

Idiots guides to thermostats and efficient heating design?

I'm not sure of any specific books or articles to guide you too but you can try doing a search for "weather compensation" "modulating heating controls" in both this forum and Google. http://www.glow-worm.co.uk/products/combination-boilers/ultracomsub2-sub-cxi/...
