Getting a nice clean cut on branches?

Been cutting a gum tree down with saw on extension pole and bark seems to rip down the side. How do you get a nice clean cut? Separate question, is there any technique in cutting a tree or bringing the height down. I've just been cutting to a certain height.

    Cutting conifers over borders

Too much effort I guess. I do find when blowing around plants in the border that I blow a lot of dirt and stones onto lawn before mowing. I guess it's the quickest and easiest way though

Getting a clothes line peg into ground?

Just did it. Used my fencing spike to make hole. Then poured the postcrete stuff in. The bag had been left open for months though and part of it was a hard bolder so reached in hole and pulled it out. With the watery concrete mix on my arm. Then tried to put washing line in with level on it...

Getting a clothes line peg into ground?

Seems like concrete then. I was going to use my heavy pole spike to dig out hole. It's used to smash through rocks etc when doing a fence post. Half a bag of postcrete?

    Cutting conifers over borders

If I hedge cut this all the little conifer bits go on beds. How do I prevent this? With other plants I usually blow it onto grass then scoop up then mow. Conifers don't blow too well

What's the best way to get this g into the ground? Sorry it's not a peg but a thing which pike goes into. It's going to hold a spinning washing line. Think the ground is stoney a few inches down. Lump hammer and wood?

A builder told me the same but most window cleaners/softwashers who clean this use pressure washers. They say need to blast out moss etc

    Cutting thick hedges

That was a chainsaw, wasn't it? Not Pruning saw. What is the PPE for 1) Pruning saw? 2) chainsaw? Sounds like protective trousers

Should I always clean this gutter out?

When it was pressure washed the sand from joints ran down into the drain gulley thing in picture, whatever it's called. It was replaced with sand although a bit late in my opinion as bits of leaves etc had got into the cracks and are now mixed with sand that was swept in

Should I always clean this gutter out?

Wet and dry vac? I don't know how so many leaves get through the holes into the gulley drain thing. I just been scooping the sand and leaves out with a trowel

Got lots of leaves and sand off block paving which was pressure washed. Figured it could block drain if left? Is it best to regularly clean out?
