    Security Lights, Outdoor Lights

It is indeed I'd just rather not have such a long run of cable apparent on the external wall..... I could resort to getting spotlights with a PIR to replace each spot on the left of the circuit and then have the second spot on the right work as a slave, I just don't think the light throw will...

    Security Lights, Outdoor Lights

I'm completely happy with the advice received, no qualms there. It's just frustrating that the previous owners hadn't given any consideration to security lights on a PIR alongside some aesthetic lighting...... As for what I'll do now it's back to the drawing board I guess...

    Security Lights, Outdoor Lights

One of the switched FCU's is in the dining room, The other switched FCU is in the kitchen, Literally opposite ends of the house, So to connect four spotlights to one FCU would me chasing the exterior wall to connect both pairs, Or installing another FCU would mean a heap of work!

    Security Lights, Outdoor Lights

That's exactly what i am suggesting John, I understand a switch is highly desirable however as the wiring is installed at the moment, in order to maintain the light the MCB has to be turned off owing to a permanent live being present at the back of the leftmost light fitting. Therefore if...

    Security Lights, Outdoor Lights

Would it not be possible to wire it in the manner below? With the switch live from wired into the PIR load (output)? Don't take the actual wiring route shown as how it would be done, it's representative, I was considering a four core into the junctionon the left, Live > PIR LIVE...

    Security Lights, Outdoor Lights

Hi guys, If your suggesting i wire the light fitting as shown below then the security light wont function when the switch is turned off, If i want the security light to work and leave the supply on that would mean the two spotlights are also on, I was considering whether it would be...

    Security Lights, Outdoor Lights

If i was to go down that route though wouldn't that mean the spotlights would be on continuously in order to give the PIR a live feed which would kind of defeat the object of having lights only come on when activated by the PIR,

    Minimal Grout Line

Sound, I'll either have him back to skim the bonding or get some of the 6 mm hardibacker for that wall so it doesn't stand too proud of the finished skim that it butts up against, If i go for the hardibacker would there be any issues with fixing it to the wall with screws and rawl plugs?

    Outdoor LED PIR Lights

Morning all, I'm working my way through the house updating rooms and lighting and I need to tackle the exterior lighting at the rear. At present there are two light fittings fixed about 1.5m apart each with a 50w GU10 bulb, these are operated by a switch in the kitchen. The light they...
