why do people support Reform when they have no idea of their policies

I know someone (my wife actually) who tries her best to get people into work. She loves her job. She feels sad when promising young individuals secure PIP and then give up on real life. It's too easy.

why do people support Reform when they have no idea of their policies

You got me wrong (again). E.g.1: One leg = genuine benefit claimant. E.g.2: Bit nervous, late night gamer, work-shy = get a job mate.

Well that's just made me hungry. Lol

    Budget

Hedging your bets? Interesting! I've got equal amounts in a cash ISA and Premium Bonds. Last year my bonds outplayed my 4.8% ISA quite significantly. I like the jeopardy. Lol

why do people support Reform when they have no idea of their policies

I'm going to stick my neck out here and guess that, like Rachel Reeves, you're not a professional economist. Basically, all economies (personal, household, national, etc) are based on the same principle; i.e. You need to have more incomings than outgoings, or said economy goes tits up. An...

why do people support Reform when they have no idea of their policies

When I went to London on a school trip in the 70s, I took a kagoul. They called it a 'kag-in-a-bag'. Nowadays children need to take a stab vest. It's a cultural difference you see. Brits resort to fisty cuffs, whereas other nationalities prefer to... slice you up. Sorry, bit graphic. Anyway...

why do people support Reform when they have no idea of their policies

Are you suggesting that Keir Starmer is the DeWalt of drills? He's the Bob the Builder drill my grandson had when he was 3.

Ah, so you were tempted to open the box! ;-)

why do people support Reform when they have no idea of their policies

Why do people support Reform when they have no idea of their policies? As this is a DIY forum, I'll try to offer an appropriate analogy: You have three cordless drills in front of you. There's a couple of others from Aldi and Lidl, but you know they're not worth trying. So, looking at the...

    Budget

Surely even the staunchest Labour supporters can't defend this budget! The shirkers will be worshiping the magic money tree, while the workers will be lamenting the loss of their houses, savings and pensions. As an aside, I'm sure those good citizens who were lured [by their own good nature]...

Maybe that's what the designer was aiming for. So he likes bread. What's the problem? Lol

Tile backer board on brick wall

I did exactly that last year. STS accepts Ronseal Anywhere paint on a gloss roller really nicely and it saved me the cost (and mess) associated with getting the plasterers in. Sorry plasterers, but you are a messy lot. Lol

House viewing - crack under window

If the building has cavity walls and the outer leaf has cracked through the brick, it might require remedial work. If the exterior has been covered with cladding and the interior with wallpaper, one might assume that the owner has attempted to hide a fault. Personally, I'd just ask them about it.

    How's my new flat roof!?

Well mrbiffle... If you were after a quick fix to keep the rain out for a few years, and you didn't part with an unearthly sum, this rather shoddy example of a new flat roof might be just the job! I paid circa £4k for the Rolls Royce of flat roofs a while back. It was guaranteed for 25 years...

    How's my new flat roof!?

I demolished an old shed a few years back. The roof had 7 layers of felt on it. It was HEAVY! With regard to flat roofs per se, I have only had negative experiences. In my mind, rainwater should never be static. It should run down, down, down... and away into the ground.

Sandtoft 20/20 tiles around Velux Windows 15 Degrees

Care to elaborate? The example given was approved by Velux. We can only guess regarding the elements we can't see, but it looks like a decent install to me.

    Flag dynamics

I live in a very small village in North Norfolk. The majority of my neighbours are retirees who have worked hard all their lives. Many of them have flown the Union Jack and/or the flag of St.George for more years than I have lived. They love their country and they are proud to fly our flag...

    Flag dynamics

It strikes me that you're desperate to find a sparring partner on this subject. Suffice to say, Hamas is on the naughty list for good reason. I don't care what it says on their flag, and I won't be giving them any more oxygen on this thread. I sense that there's a reasonable human being with a...

    Flag dynamics

Yes, but it's rubbish and it looks like a badly written short essay. That's why many of their supporters opt use the flag of Palestine instead. Nobody has time to read an essay during a skirmish.
