    Which mitre saw?

You are right, having looked at a few second hand ones. I have realised some poeple just don't look after their tools. I'm going to wait until after Christmas and probably go for the Hitachi one as that seems to fit the bill for the money.

    Which mitre saw?

I will do. Might keep my eye out for a good used one. For the amount i will use it might be better. We'll see how it goes.

    Which mitre saw?

Thanks for the advice. I'll mainly be using it to cut timber for studwalls, Skirting and Architrave. Maybe flooring too. So I guess I don't need a big blade really. The width of cut is probably more important.

    Which mitre saw?

Don't really need a blade that big. Just that i have two spare brand new blades. Think I am best to sell them on. Would you recommend a 10 inch blade over an 8 inch? Thanks for the tip. I'll have a look at the site.

    Which mitre saw?

I did think about repairing it. But thought i could be throwing my money away. I bought it second hand the other year. Already had to repair the bevel lock. So don't know it's full history. Anyone know what the cheap ones are like in b and q?

    Which mitre saw?

Thanks, just worried how accurate they will be. There is no point getting one if I can cut just as square by hand. :)

    help prep before repainting

Thanks, Yes they are small areas, with one larger area which is down to plaster. I might give a white mist coat first so it is easier to see the defects. then fill and another mist coat before painting. Many thanks for your help.

    help prep before repainting

Thanks for the idea. Just been looking. Unfortunately because of the way the doors are it would be tricky. Think I will give the filling a go. Mist coat after fill some more if needed then paint. Hopefully it will turn out ok. Thanks for your help.

    help prep before repainting

Thanks. I was more worried about it coming off again. Although I have scrubbed the wall well. I have some easifill and 12 inch knife from when I done some taping and joining for a stud wall. Should I seal with anything first?

    help prep before repainting

I think the previous owners didn't wash the wallpaper paste off properly before painting, which is why it has all cracked / lifted. I guess I am going to do a lot of face filling! :(

    help prep before repainting

Hi Guys, I’m in the middle of prepping some walls in my porch. Haven’t long been in the house so not sure what paint was used etc. But I believe , before I had bought the house, the walls were once wallpapered and at some point stripped and painted.   I want to re-paint, but the paint...
