I didn't replaster cos I had the walls back to the brick and there was no evidence of damp. I didn't re-do it cos I thought it would be OK cos it's only been damp for a number of weeks as opposed to a number of years. Am I wrong?

I have had my stairs bare for over a year now due to other work going on (slowly) in the rest of the house. Two of the treads (I think that is what they're called) have split where they overhang the riser. Can I replace these or will I just have to make do with a damaged staircase?

Sounds like the fitting needs replacing, not the rad.

Sorry, I think I caused the whole fan/pump confusion thing by harping on about my pump. Can you post the make and model number of your fan and I will have a look around for you while I'm looking at the pumps. Post the board details too if you like and I will find one of those.
