    Wiring for 1 bed flat?

At the moment all three flats have their 10 mm supply cable attached temporarily to what looks like the original incoming supply and consumer unit. I understand that they are waiting for the board to come and sort it out with new supplies. As for the SWA it has just had the metal sheathing cut...

    Meter bonding

for your information Mr smarty pants owen I asked the question on this forum as well as the other one to see if there would be a difference of opinions between the electrical and heating forums. Furthermore it was a hypothetical question. I wasn't seeking "permission" to do a second class job.

Actually, the rule is the bonding has to be connected within 600mm of the meter and before any tees

    Earth stake?

If I have to find a way to run the cable then that's what I will do. I was more interested in whether the earth rod was an option or for a view on the reasons why it wouldn't be.

    Meter bonding

On a new boiler install with no bonding at the meter whose responsability is it to provide one. Also on a particularly difficult access to the main earthing terminal at the meter can an earth rod be used? ( all the way on the other side of the house... with wood floors and decorations everywhere)!

    Earth stake?

No bonding on a gas meter on the wall outside. Is it possible to earth it to an earth rod buried in the ground outside, adjacent to the meter, as the MET is other side of the house with hardwood floors and decorations everywhere so practically no chance of a cable run, at least not a pretty one!

    Insulating Loft Conversion Walls

Rigid 8'x4' Celotex or Kingspan, foil both sides between the rafters/floor joists. As far as the pitched roof is concerned you can use a multi layered solar reflective product with counter battens to secure it and make a void between the plasterboard and the foil. www.roof-solutions.co.uk...

    Earth Bonding - Gas Meter

10mm earth cable attached to the pipework within 600mm of the meter on the users side, and before any tees in the supply. Run all the way back to the main earthing terminal. ( usually located by the consumer unit)

240 v light in shower room

Lots of things are that shouldn't be and aren't that should be. Are you suggesting I change the whole cu for a mirror in the bathroom. CU was aquired with the house so I find your advice a bit drastic.

240 v light in shower room

I would like to put a 240 v Mirror with a light in a shower room. The mirror will be above a sink and within 1.5metres of the shower which has a fixed outlet. Whole house is protected via a crabtree cu with 30m/A main RCD. Any advice would be appreciated
