Could go 300w M8 if it was me as this would give just about the rigt light for somthink like you wont. I put a 300w in sort of the same place as you are saying you wont and it was spot on m8. You may find 150 not that bright for whot you need have a look at the 300w.

Ok just bin out and got a new bulkhead pir light 250w max 60w bulb for out side my front door and i wont to wire it into the consumer unit just inside the front door. ? do i use 3 core flex for going in the CU or would it be beter to wire in 3 core t&e, the wire would be 1.5mm into the ligts...

@ Crafty, cheers m8 understand 100% there is flex on the lamp allready m8 it is the grey flex round as i siad 3 core with the earth insulated and i wouldent be putting t&e on lol with no insulated earth. ? so what about the wire that is grey flat and oval with all 3 cores insulated L, N, E...

@ Crafty ? is that dimmer twin and earth m8 as i carnt find data saying if it is or not. If so then it would do the job as the lamp on and off switch that im leaving on is 3 core twin & erath not 2 core L/N.
