We gave mains cold water. Hot water is from combi boiler

We have just fitted 2 new cheap taps, 1 upstairs and the other downstairs. When we turn them on there is a loud gushing noise, to me it's like the sound of the water rushing through the pipes and then the tap. I can hear it in the floor These were cheap taps, could this be the reason ...
