    have you tried picketing the large outlets that actually sell the parts needed to do these jobs, to anyone who wishes to try irrespective of qualifications. As long as this is happening DIY electrical will not stop therefore if anything this site is clearing up the mess.

    I do see where your coming from but Someone taught me to drive a car, if i could afford a chauffeur i would never have bothered. Start at the top and work your way down. Labour charge massive why tax man has most of it, cost of appliances mark up on imported cheaply made products...

    Didnt say i don't have a fan......... i said don't have a fan connected to my shower. I have one of those big ugly things in the corner of the room of which i would also like to remove. unfitted cieling fan with halogen light fittment with hose to go through roof or wall, still in box.

    supposed to be fibreglass roof like flat roof superstores and garages. With 10 year gaurantee. They took the felt off laid hardboard then fibreglass sheets and then resin liquid, its as hard as nails? but what an eye sore...

    Thanks Adilin ive sent the guy an LBA and advised of small claims and steps im willing to take. That was with the leak but the last visit seems to have sorted the water sad thing is its only known on a hard fall of rain so wont know untill then. and this has been since oct 05. My own...

    ? ive read plaster destroys the protective covering on wires. You got me on a dought now, if it doesnt then i could have saved myself alot of trouble :lol: oh well better to be safe than sorry. As im browsing i will have to link what i find in here maybe its beacuse you have to pull it...

    ok found the no cement or plaster warnings, i am going to make some sort of stopper to stop the cement covering the wire coming out to the bottom plate. but im still concerned regarding the none fixed conduit area. :cry: Thanks OJ

    nope not sure what will happen when i have the bathrrom fitted out, my brain needs a rest for a few months before that one :roll: I do have an unfitted fan that works with the light switch they sound more troble than there worth.. May go for a refund but need to see the variations on fittment...

    HI steve bathroom small so had door altered to open into landing, so would be a bit in your face at door opening. had a chat with local guy , suggested as I dont switch the shower on and off a switch out side to cieling should be ok. I never turn my shower off apparantely not many do...
