The main fuse box fuse for all the sockets is marked up "main ring" and when I trip the 32amp fuse the boiler switchs off, so it is definitely part of the ring. So does that mean its possible the way I said as in: Spur ------cable-----1st socket-------cable-------2nd socket (end)

Hi Wangerman I looked inside the spur and there are 2 sets of cables going in. I thought I would be able to put another cable in the spur then feed the other end to a 2 way plug socket, then from the plug socket add another cable sending that to the 2nd 2 way socket ? Boiler Spur...

Hi My boiler is wired into a a 5amp fused spur (from the main ring circuit?) and I would like to add 2 x twin plug sockets on the other side of the wall. Is this ok to do? Regards Nifty

Hi I was only trying to find out if there was power going into the shower as the fault will now lye with Triton as its just under 3 months since they repaired it last time. Thanks for the replys, Ill update when Triton have fixed it.

Thank you STI I managed to check the wire connector inside the shower unit, and im happy as it was reading 239, meaning there is power getting into the shower and the switch is not at fault.

Ive just downloaded the manual and will be having a read up. Yes I know the volts AC on the meter but have no idea what the other buttons/connections do. Thanks for the help I really appriciate it.

I have already, that was the first thing I did. No burn marks, no sign of anything wrong apart from the shower not turning on. I have a Fluke 87 111 true rms multi meter, but have no idea what setting to put it on to test, is this something you can describe or not?

Ok Thanks for the help. I do have a multi meter but do not know how to use it. Ive just started an Electrics course at college but only into week 3! Think my option would be to buy a new switch and fit that?

Hi all I have a Triton t100 xr shower, it packed up just under 3 months ago after having it for over 2 years, I phoned Triton and they said they do a £95 repair, fixed price (anything wrong they will fix) The fitter said the board had blew, (i could see a black mark on it) I went to use...

update: i went and brought a thermo coupler and fitted it myself ( was only a 10mm bolt and 8mm at other end) i noticed a slight difference in the noise of the pilot flame...(more of a roar) i lit the pilot, blew it out to check the pilot button was working fine, and yes it cuts off ok...

Gas4you there is 240v coming through as when i click the electric switch i can here the pump kick in. Namsag the pilot button does come all the way back up. what is the boiler stat? you say it may be the gas valve.. ive just managed to fire it up...i turned the pilot off again...

hi kev well its finally fired up after breaking the knob by twisting it to far its working could it still be the solinoid u said??????????? to make it light all i did was light paper and stick it in past the piolt light and it worked......maybe just luck? maybe time i got it...

hi kev yes the hot water was ok,although i think as we use it its running out and goin just warm ive tried switching it all off as in resetting....but to be honest i could do with a manual of how to work this boiler out ive just moved in and its the oldest boiler ive ever seen :)
