    Honeywell motorised valve.

Is it possible to keep a Honeywell valve in the manual position to provide central heating? My Bosch boiler isn't firing for CH but does for HW and I suspect the valve, although it's only three months old! I am hoping to get an engineer out after the bank holiday but I still need heating. Thanks.

    Central heating switching off randomly.

The boiler has been on for a couple of hours and approximately 3/4 mm of water was produced at the waste end of the condensate pipe in the attached container.

    Central heating switching off randomly.

I will at the tee joint, but shouldn't there be liquid in the trap?

    Central heating switching off randomly.

Well, the condensate trap is empty and it is not possible to put water down the pipework because of the restriction of the boiler.

Thanks. I will try that as soon as possible.

    Central heating switching off randomly.

Thanks. I haven't removed the case cover just a small cover underneath the trap. Is the green stuff linked to the problem or a separate issue?

    Central heating switching off randomly.

I have released the cover concealing the trap and I'm not surprised there is an issue. Water is leaking from somewhere and there is a green gunge on pipes and the cover.

    Central heating switching off randomly.

Thanks. So the small pipe on the right is not carrying water from the boiler?

    Central heating switching off randomly.

Thanks. I've attached images of the condensate set up which doesn't look ideal to me.

    Central heating switching off randomly.

Here is a video of the blue light. The green light had been flashing on then off occasionally. I am hoping to post a video soon. Is the boiler programmed to detect an issue with the condensate?

Thanks. Is there a format that can be uploaded directly with a post?

What type of video format is allowable with a post, please. Mymp4 appears to be unsuitable. Thanks.

    Central heating switching off randomly.

Thanks. I will video the blue light. I have to say that the condensate trap is not situated very well and linked to the waste pipe under a sink unit. I did wonder after the trap was fitted a couple of years ago whether the angle of the waste pipe, very little angle, could have any effect on the...

    Central heating switching off randomly.

The Covid-19 situation has meant that I have been reluctant to have people working inside the house for any period of time, so it is fortunate that the heat has been on most of the time. The situation is changing now that replacing the valve actuator may not have resolved the issue.

    Central heating switching off randomly.

Thanks for that. There appear to be two main issues. The first one is the boiler switching off without the blue light flashing and refusing to switch on again for some hours. The second issue is the occasional switching off randomly and the blue light flashing which is resolved by a reset. This...

    Central heating switching off randomly.

For some weeks now my central heating has been switching off after about ten hours and not refiring. The next morning the heating switches back on a timer and the same issue occurs after a number of hours. Occasionally the blue power light has flashed but on resetting the boiler fires up and the...

    Manual overide on heating valve.

Thanks. I will put the lever back to AUTO and wait for the new part to arrive.

    Manual overide on heating valve.

If it is also calling for HW, will the CH switch off anyway when the water temperature is reached?

    Manual overide on heating valve.

It doesn't seem possible to leave the lever in the MAN position. The lever keeps springing back.
