Mist coat has left a chalky finish, final cost flaking/lifting

Yep with a damp cloth and after a few going over it does wipe of to bare plaster. At the back of the paint it does say to add up tp 40% water for new plastered walls, however, mime were skimmed, if that makes a difference.

    Pressure Testing a Sealed System

Oh I see. What should it be? As I cannot get it over 1.5 bar.

    Pressure Testing a Sealed System

I had a thought which came to me. Rather than spending money on a pressure test pump, would I just not pump up the expansion vessel, until it reached 2 bar (currently 1.5 bar) and then left it there to see if the pressure dropped while checking for any leaks? Once the test was complete, I was...

    Pressure Testing a Sealed System

Thank you. You have me thinking now, as I will have the boiler connected, tank and two port values connected... I feel that due to the system being sealed and my mains pressure never goes above 1.5 bar, if I tested it to 2 or 2.25 bar, this would suffice. What are your thoughts?

Hi John, The extractor fan is for a hood in the kitchen, do you still recommend I check? I checked last night with a smoke pellet and saw the smoke come out from the outside vent. But some was returning via the gaps. Is the expanding forma and insulating wool fire resistant, the pipe go...

Is my differential bypass valve stuck?

Thanks all, I will need some sort of mirror to take the reading as its on the other side. However, from cold, I will ensure everything is off and the valve is in the closed position. I will then turn on both zones and HW and let the system reach temperature. I will then turn the valve slowly...
