    Water not heating consistently

Thank you oilhead. I will have a look and see what I can test with. We have had the boiler for a fair number of years and can never remember having such a poor flow rate with a low temperature.

I have turned up the temperature dial and no real change in the flow/heat ratio. Any ideas please?

    Water not heating consistently

I own a Ariston Euro Combi A23 MFFI and when I turn the hot water tap on in the bathroom, the water heats but not to what I think is hot enough. The tap is very slow running to gain a decent heat but as soon as you turn it just a little more, the water runs cold. It's very difficult to obtain a...

How to dismantle part of the Diverter Valve.

Being a one parent Daddy of two teenage girls, it's an urgent situation to solve....no hot water!!:rolleyes: So it's a case of 'process of illimination'. I have cleaned the brass bush and around the area it sits in. I then experimented putting some PTFE around the spindle of the...

How to dismantle part of the Diverter Valve.

Thank you for all your help so far! I have taken out the brass bush and taken some images with it's spring valve. Is there anything untoward with the parts please? The white plastic tubing/housing that is located in the brass bush, should this be tight fitting around the spindle of the spring...

How to dismantle part of the Diverter Valve.

The pressure does drop due to the leak. So there should be no water coming out of the 'brass bush with screws' (the unumbered part)? I have managed to take a photo of where the leak is and it shows the water is coming out of one of the thread holes that could contain a tightening screw...

How to dismantle part of the Diverter Valve.

The two parts already bought are just weeks/days old. Just can't seem to see where the leak's source is. I know the spindle on Part 363 is pushed through to the spndle on the diaghram in Part 364. Should water be passing through as well please? Or is it just a switch type system with no water...

How to dismantle part of the Diverter Valve.

Thanks for the advice and info Old&Cold. (y) I have already replaced parts 362 and 363, so I don't need a repair kit. The link you mention is for a big nut but it appears that I am after a bush with screws like this. Trouble is, I can't really see where the leak is actually from. The drips...

How to dismantle part of the Diverter Valve.

Hello. Thanks.... I think so, but hard to tell as it is either at the back or bottom so I can't really see. Could it be the washer on the brass nut? Why is that part not numbered? Does that mean it is not replaceable?

How to dismantle part of the Diverter Valve.

I have stripped the parts, cleaned them well and wrapped some PTFE tape around the thread of the unumbered part brass nut. And still it leaks. I really can't see where the leak is actually coming from. Any suggestions please?

How to dismantle part of the Diverter Valve.

Hello Heatservice. Thanks for getting back to me. I thought I had fixed it, but it appears to be leaking evenmore now! Okay, first of all, there is only 2 brass screws not 3. That could be why it is leaking. Part 363 comes exactly how the illustration shows (it is an original Ariston spare...

How to dismantle part of the Diverter Valve.

Arrrggghhhh!! I have followed Heatwave excellent advice and fitted the new part 363 nicely. But it is still leaking, if not worse!! It appears to be coming out of the brass piece and rubber seal (not part numbered) located between part numbers 364 and 363. Any urgent help and advice please!

How to dismantle part of the Diverter Valve.

Thank you Heatservice for your speedy reply. I presume to follow your instructions, I have to slacken the grub screws first, allowing me to insert the part 363 before doing what you have kindly posted please? Do the grub screws hold part 364 to the other brass unumbered part and the unumbered...

Please can someone instruct me on how to remove the left hand side so I can be able to replace the part 363, that is leaking? Does the system have to be emptied before starting the repair please? Thank you.
