    I dont wish to hijack your thread, but I too was considering a wall removal which will involve the meter being moved, it will also involve the incomer being extended to get to the new location, do you think they will do this? I presume they will have to switch off the whole street to do this...

    Thanks people, I was indeed enquiring about all black numbered conductors, as it happened I used 1 for phase, 2- N and Y/G -CPC, sleeved them so I guess I was OK. Thanks for the replies.

    It dosent really matter what colour the sheath of the cable is, as long as the conductors are corrrectly identified within, and the correct plug/socket for the intended voltage is used
