    Danesmoor Capacitor Removal

I ordered the one you suggested. Thanks I've just realised I stupidly paid no attention to which wire went to which on the capacitor. I had one blue and one brown. Does it matter which way around they go?

    Danesmoor Capacitor Removal

Yeah that's it. I've replaced all those parts you mention in the past. Does that mean the c107/9 you recommended will work with this mate?

    Danesmoor Capacitor Removal

Thanks John. That's a good suggestion and within the North east for me. It's a bit of a punt though isn't it. What's the damage if this isn't quite right? Will it just not power up or could it cause damage to the boiler or motor etc. Cheers

    Danesmoor Capacitor Removal

All the writing on the side of the capacitor has faded. I know it's for a AEG Motor eb 95c28/2 70w. I think it's manufacturer part no. 87161566650 but not sure how you tell for sure. Only thing sites seem to confirm is its 3UF and for AEG motors. I hope it's just the capacitor that has gone...

    Danesmoor Capacitor Removal

Can't believe I didn't think to try a socket set haha Does it look normal to have the brown stuff in the picture appearing to be leaking out? Any advice on selecting its replacement. I know it needs to be 3UF or something. Thx

Can anyone give advice on how to get this capacitor out. How does the black plastic cap come off and how do people get into where the nut is on the capacitor thread? Thanks all

    Worcester Danesmoor 12/14 - Lockout

Hi Gents, thanks for all your replies previously on this. I replaced the oil pump today and the positives are it now runs without locking out, outside there is no smoke from the vent and sounds much smoother in running. The negatives are that we now have a small drip leak of oil from behind...

    Replace Danfoss oilpump with Suntec

Thanks again for the words of wisdom. Final question to you all. Is there model/brand of oil pressure gauge that you prefer for oil boilers? Don't want to buy a pup Thanks

    Replace Danfoss oilpump with Suntec

Thanks for that Burnerman. Do you just pour this exocet into the oil tank outside then?

    Replace Danfoss oilpump with Suntec

Thanks for the comments which were helpful. I went with the Danfoss in the end. Only two things left to do are try the exocet in the oil Bob mentions - Is this easy to do? Lastly check and if necessary set the pressure with a gauge.

    Replace Danfoss oilpump with Suntec

Well it will function for starters lol The Danfoss one is kaput and I've read the Suntec ones are better or more reliable so opportunity is there to swap.
