Yet another drill question - NOT cordless

Well, I went and bought a Bosch green drill for the drill stand. B&Q currently have the Bosch PSB 680 RE Compact Hammer Drill at £34.98. Being an old bugger, I have their diamond card and went for it on Wednesday, which gave me 10% off. :D It appears to be identical in every way to the...

    Suggestions For Foldable Workbench ?

I have one of these - and would never recommend it to anyone! The Draper Expert is a wonderful flight of fancy as a machine stand, and utterly useless as a workbench. The overhangs are too small to get clamps under, the aluminium fittings mark up your work, the jaws buckle if you try to get a...

Yet another drill question - NOT cordless

Thanks, I had thought that the best solution may be a cheapo drill for the stand, and an SDS one for everything else. They do add up though! Lidl and Aldi sometimes have SDS machines cheap, and I've wondered if they are any good?

Yet another drill question - NOT cordless

Hi everyone. I went and bought myself one of those Lidl drill stands yesterday, and I'm very happy with it. Being only an occasional DiYer, I think it will help me out on some jobs and I'd never justify £100s for a real pillar drill. However, my old mains hammer drill (£15 in the 70's I...

    Concrete path around house

OK Thanks Blagard. My drive currently drains towards the highway, but could then be channelled across onto the mainly gravel front garden (set with plants in it). I hope to be able to make a new drive with a proper drainage channel that leads that way - to stop the puddles I get out of the car...

    Concrete path around house

Hmm, thanks Blagard. I will not be paving the "front garden" which will remain unaffected, but the driveway runs past the front garden and up the side of the house to the garage at the rear. Can anyone tell me if these regulations mean that I cannot replace like with like? Currently the...

    Concrete path around house

Hi everyone, I'm new here although I've been reading the forums for some time. Sorry if this has been raised before - my search didn't find what I'm looking for. My house was built in the 1960s and is on clay soil. The foundations go deeper than I've excavated, so I'm not sure of their...
