I have booked in an indy that I've used in the past to repair the elbow. (I only used BG because I'm a homecare customer).

I've read some conflicting advice. Some say turn off the boiler on it's panel and unplug/ turn off at the mains power others say just turn the boiler off and leave it connected to mains power?

Only issues we've had so far are mainly water leaks from the condensate but more recently a valve inside causing central heating pressure to also drop. When turning the water off is it ok to open all the hot taps to drain the hot water?

This is the fix the workman made when I queried the lack of fixings.

Sorry I meant two, one of each side. I had mentioned the fixing and it has been "reinforced" connected to the beams as they stated there was nowhere suitable in the brick. I'll upload an updated picture of it later tonight.
