    My daily heating routine

I also work from home, i have been having the house at 17.5 degrees and found that hard, i am impressed that you manage 10-12 degrees! I am watching energy usage through the roof however, i am using 6 or 7 pounds of gas a day and another 4 or 5 of electricity so this quarter will be horrific.

Should i be painting this gas piping?- exposed to elements.

Thanks, i will do - i think i was expecting copper piping not black pipe to be honest, i didnt think black pipe could be exposed like that. Unless it is copper that has gone black i have no idea how to tell. I will get up there and get it painted with some anti rust paint. Thanks again.

Hey all I got a financial interest in this property a year or so ago and have been trying to fix the various issues (so far have done roofing, new boiler, and done a lot of painting myself.) In our garage the gas supply branches off with a copper pipe going through the garage roof, i assumed...

    Making vinyl less slippy

Hey guys Today i replaced the flooring on the downstairs toilet, with vinyl tiles, i needed something cheap and it looks decent. The walls are not straight (wrong choice of plasterer) which resulted in some gaps and i sealed them with a hybrid silicone/polymer sealant. However the flooring...

Fair price for removing plaster from kitchen ceiling and drywalling?

If the existing plaster is unsound, will it cause issues or wont it matter because it is screwed into the joists?

Fair price for removing plaster from kitchen ceiling and drywalling?

Cheers, ill give local tradesman a call after work since not many on checkatrade seem interested! I guess wanting the old plaster removing (it is so old i dont trust it for over-boarding) is pushing the price up, but i thought a ceiling was a day or maybe a day and a half work for a plasterer.

Fair price for removing plaster from kitchen ceiling and drywalling?

Hey guys After having multiple kids growing up and falling asleep with bath running, and a couple of leaks in years gone by- our kitchen ceiling has been repaired (by me) a couple of times. Automating appointment reminders - MS Outlook

As i said if it works for you! then why not :) My director sends himself emails as reminders too. Which is why he currently has a 68gb outlook mailbox and refuses to let me delete stuff.. i had to change his licence to allow a new 100gb limit!

Error message when copying video files

I am going to first say what i always say when i have my IT support hat on - have you tried turning it on and off again :) Can you also try moving the files in small batches, rather than in one big go? If those two fail i would try updating usb/device drivers.

How to stop rats sneaking below tiles

A works colleague has rat issues as she has a stream just off her property and bird feeders. They have cages and drown them - which i was quite shocked at to be honest! but she insists it is more humane than poison.
