Hi guys. Can anyone with experience of putting skirting boards up offer any advice on to the best adhesive you use? I have put a length of skirting board up with no nails, and it isn’t sticking at all, even with pressure applied for 5/10 minutes. Any help is greatly appreciated thanks

Great, thanks for this advice. I’ll follow this and see how I get on. Im fitting the skirting R to L. I made a cut last night with the straight cut up against the door frame, and a 45 degree mitre cut the other end in to the internal corner. Will I still get away with scribing the adjoining...

Thanks. Am I right in saying I scribe one end of the skirting, 45 degree mitre the other end, and then scribe then next board in to that mitre edge? All internal corners

Will I lose any length on the skirting board by scribing, will this need to be taken in to consideration when measuring?

Hi all. I’m loooking at buying some polymer skirting board, it comes primed. What is the best paint to use on this surface, and will no nails stick stick this to the wall? Many thanks

This did the trick. Ladder up, one foot on the conservatory frame and reached up to grab it out on the right hand vertical. Thanks for your help and suggestions!
