Hi i have a slight leak at the pipe which joins onto my radiator valve.It looks like it just needs some plumbers tape.Does the whole system need draining or can i just undo the nut and quickly use the plumbers tape,using towels to mop up the water.

unfortunately the pipe is covered in concrete all the way to the manhole cover as its underneath a concrete path.I suppose my only option is to replace the whole pipe back to the manhole cover :(

Hi i have changed the motor on the diverter and everything works fine except i can not get hotwater on its own ,when i switch on the hotwater,as the central heating comes on at the same time.I can however when i switch on the central heating just get the heating only.Any suggestions?

Hi diverter is a Honeywell model -Sundial 3 position diverter valve.Does that help.john

Thankyou for your reply.It seems to be the diverter value since if i move the lever the water is pumped through the radiators.Unfortunatley the lever will not stay in postion and keep the valve open.Does that mean it needs replacing?and if so is it a difficult DIY job.John

My problem is that although my boiler works to heat the water it will not come on when i switch my heating on,even though the light on the programmer box comes on.Any ideas as to what the problem could be?Many thanks
