two of my lights have just stopped working,I have four lights two bedrooms are ok,but the landing light is not working or the bathroom,fuse box ok,tested the wiring its getting power,tried different bulbs but nothing,the landing light can be turned on downstairs but it will not work on that...

in the process of painting back of house,got white painted concrete lintels above windows have scraped loose paint best i can,but left with those horrible lippy ridges where there are different levels of paint,could i use a good paint stripper and take it back to bare concrete which is grey...

hello,having problems with me onsuite shower,it has been ok since it was fitted in 2004,just getting cold water ,was hot and cold stop start,now cold only,thought it was me boiler but the sink is ok so do these mixer valves go wrong??it does not have a thermostat,just straight forward manual...

when fitting new guttering and clips how much degree of fall should you be aiming for??how close to the tiles should you fix the first clip,and how much lower should the end clip be,i will then run a stringbetween the 2 clips and fit the rest.pete :)

hi iam putting up a new fascia at the moment,have taken down the old board and have just made good some brick work and replaced some rotten timbers,just had thought have i bought the wrong board!!as there is no soffit to replace its just a straight flat board to replace,most of the replacement...

iam fitting new facia board on rear of house soon,there is no felt at the moment 1930,s property small tiles,think this was common thing??could i fit these 1.5m felt replacements at the same time?not sure how far back the first battons are,any ideas???? thanks peter

have seen these 1.5m felt replacements boards that hang over into the gutter and help prevent wind blown rain entering the roof space any good?

i want a saw for cutting floorboards,but not to big have used a chunky old circular saw before but want something smaller,any ideas :D

hello folks,iam going to replace my rear facia board and gutters.any thoughts on what size is best to go for,half round 112mm,or 114mm full flo guttering i fancy the 114mm will that be ok??

got a bathroom ceiling that i want to plaster over,it has a textured finish on it at the moment not to thick,can it be skimmed over or will it be best to put a bonding coat on first then skim?? pete :?

my loft is always cold,had it converted 7 years ago now only one radiator plus 1 in onsuite,with dormer its about 23ft long i think,only got a single rad of about 600mm i think do i need a massive double??

got a facia board to replace at the back of the house,iam thinking of useing a make called bull nose facia board which is designed to replace the old wood board,ie not a capping board ,quite straight forward hopefully no soffit to replace just a flat board,what would you recommend useing 2.5...

I never seem to get the mix right when knocking up some mortar for abit of pointing??can anybody tell me what i should be doing? ie building sand or sharp?and what about adding any additive? thanks peter :)

there quite rotten mate,they got to come off,as its just a flush fit straight on to the existing joists do you think the solid plastic barge boards would be ok,or replace the wood with new timber board and over lap with the plastic covering? pete
