Sony 55XH9505- Optical Audio Output Suddenly Failed

I purchased a Sony-KD55XH9505 in November 2020. From day one it has been connected to a Yamaha YAS 101 sound bar and has performed perfectly. Last week the audio output suddenly failed, something I attributed to an Optical Cable malfunction as my DVD player still functioned via an Audio Digital...

Toshiba Satellite - No Screen Display

While waiting for delivery of an enclosure to try and save the dada, I've had another look at this today and the only thing to report is that when a CD/DVD is inserted into the drive it endeavours to read it? Don't know if that’s encouraging or not.

Toshiba Satellite - No Screen Display

Thanks for your input. I’ve given that a go, using HDMI interface, but with no success. The On/Off button continues to flash ‘white display’, also, the Cap Lock and Num Lock keys also flash intermittently.

Toshiba Satellite - No Screen Display

Water has recently got on my laptop (Toshiba Satellite L50). While most of it appeared superficial there is now no screen display or fan noise when its switched on. The ON/OFF button light works and the front power light is constant ‘ON’ while the ‘Wireless Comms indicator flashing red. I’ve...

    Help Please dentifying Tap Cartridge.

I need to sort out a faulty bathroom tap cartridge, (movement is tight and it occasionally leaks). It looks pretty old and I can’t see how the generally available replacements would suit. Anyone point me towards a possible replacement. (Attached images of tap and cartridge top.) Regards.

    Wylex Consumer Unit replacement help.

To the relief of those that have responded to and tolerated my numerous question I believe I can finally see an end in sight. Many thanks to all the contributors especially 'jelliottelectrical', who, following a visit provided initial guidance and now a very competitive quote to carry out the...

    Wylex Consumer Unit replacement help.

Appreciate your input. The only reason I was considering the EICR was the age of some of my wiring (50+years). My concern is, after installing the CU, problems arise necessitating a full rewire then it could lead to a great deal of redecorating. Let’s say I’m at that stage in life where...

    Wylex Consumer Unit replacement help.

Apologies for revisiting this thread but now that things are reverting to something like near normal I’m revisiting this issue. Having had some estimates and a quotation for the fuse board change out I have a couple of questions someone may have an opinion on. 1)Everyone is suggesting I fit...

    Honeywell CM927 Starting to Fail.

Thanks, So even though it’s a CM copy the screen issue isn’t evident? Also, are relay units compatible so all that’s required is to bind the new display with the old relay unit. Thanks Benny.

    Honeywell CM927 Starting to Fail.

Thanks for that. I sent Honeywell snapshots of my screen failure and date of manufacture (April 2015). In reply they offered me a £25 discount on a replacement T4R or T6R through Plumbnation. Oddly enough they didn’t include The CM927 in the offer. So my dilemma is whether to go for the T4R and...

    Honeywell CM927 Starting to Fail.

Given that the Center product 340017 is an CM927 equivelant does any know if it suffers from the same 'screen failure' frailty?

    Honeywell CM927 Starting to Fail.

Yes, from my original post I indicated I managed to get it back to life, however, I think this may be just a short-term fix and is likely to be repeated. Furthermore, I managed to get Honeywell to provide a discount, for a replacement, for the premature failure hence the decision to look at a...

    Honeywell CM927 Starting to Fail.

On the pursuit for a replacement for my existing CM927/BDR91, I have looked at the Honeywell T4R (£95) but also found a Wolseley Center device (Product code 340017) (£71), which appears to be a Honeywell device badged for Wolseley. The former comes with a one year warranty while the Center...

    Honeywell CM927 Starting to Fail.

Thanks Chris, What puzzled me a little was my wiring looked like the ‘Basic’ as opposed to the ‘Combi’ boiler arrangement for the T4R. Thanks Benny.
