The leak and black mess sounds like its the doughnut thats sits between cistern and pan. It needs replacing. It will leak more when the W/c is flushed. Vinny

You could just make out your own invoice for fault diagnostics, whenever I get a call I always give the customer a price for fault diagnostics and advise them they will get a reduced rate if I carry out the work.

Yes you can tee into the heating circuit BUT as its 8mm pipe I would be tempted to drain off the ch system and solder the pipework as 8mm is so small and the pipe is soft you have a bigger chance of the joint leaking if overtightened on a compression fitting....maybe going to either 10mm/15mm...

Cheers namsag, i can see the roomstat has 2 terminals connected, yellow to terminal 1 and red to terminal 3, i take it these these terminals need to be linked together. Only prob is my timer is in the kitchen and the cables from terminal 2/4 are terminated upstairs in the airing cupboard...

Having probs with this timer, CH only works by control of roomstat making the timer useless. Had a look at it earlier, I can see the connections to it, as follows; Live Neutral & a cable connected to '2' and '4', I chased the cables connected to '2' and '4' back, when I found the end...

When I fitted one it wasn't in the box, my customer went back to Bathstore where they handed one to him....maybe worth a try.

Usually the hole for the water inlet is smaller than the standard 1/2", it just won't fit.

Where did you buy the WC from? I've fitted one for a customer who bought their WC from Bathstore, you should have an adapter that converts the 3/8" to 1/2". Its usually a plastic fitting.

The timer was brand new along with the boiler and roomstat, the house was only built 3 years ago. This was a new installation, the worrying thing js the house belonged to one of the builders.

I have had probs with my heating ever since I moved into my house about 4 months ago, Gotta Baxi 105e, Seimens RWB7 timer and seimens room stat. Everytime the timer comes on I have to turn the room stat up for the heating to kick in....which I understand the roomstat is doing its job...

yeah I can see a connection block when I remove the blanking plate. Will the baxi clock overide the seimens timer i have in thee kitchen or do i just remove it off its connection plate? thanks in advance Vinny
