    Advice on buying laser level

Or of course buy a laser with a +/-5 degree setting. No getting around the fact most jobs are a mixture of old & new, I would not be without my old fashioned levels, but I swear by a rotary laser level & no matter what anyone says it makes most jobs quicker, but it does come down to how much...

    cutting Granite tiles !

You can take your choice between wet or dry, the principle is the same. You cut from the back of the tile, but you work to markings on the front of the tile. You only let the diamond wheel penetrate until you have reached the width of cut that you want on the surface. Most pro guys will use a...

what is best sds drill and masonary bits for under a ton?

Best SDS drills on the market are Hilti & Dewalt. Hilti is out of you r price bracket, so go for a dewalt, you should get one for around the ton mark. If you can out work that, without of course trying to take walls down with it, you will be really going some.

The right hand table + 500mm rods has a list price of about £100. its is normally 15% discount + vat which works out back to £100. If you want one cheaper you need to find a dealer that buys a few of them. Try D&M tools on the web as a start. AS for the Festool plunge saw, it is good to here...

    Sds drill impact force

The black & decker is an old Dewalt design, great drill, for good money. The joules rating is how hard they hit, if you are only drilling holes and light chipping, it will just take slightly longer to do the same job. Kind of like Tyson or Nasim hitting you, either way eventually you will...

Is the SDS+ drill on front of Toolstation catalog any good?

question is, what do you plan to do with it. Sds drills have come down in price so much over the years, you can get a Pro in-line 2kg for about £70 now. The internals of a SDS drill are a bit more complicated than a standard impact drill and so unless the seals, beatpiece & cylinder design have...

Concrete posts - slotted or Morticed

Thermo, Cheers for your reply. What are the benefits of each system though? If I can buy a ready made panel and just slott it between two slotted posts, why go to the trouble of two Aris rails, gravel board and nailing each feather board in place, it just doesn't seem to justify the hassle...

Best adhesive for MDF skirting and Architrave

The consistency of the grab adhesives are very different between makes. The thicker ones are bettre for grabbing, but the thinner ones are better for skirting as you can put loads on without it distoting the skirting when you press against wall.
