    yes, it was a coal fired gravity system, but (apparently) in the late '70s the boiler was converted to oil fired and a hot air blower installed, using the hot water. I guess a pump was added at this time.

    Hi Tony, yes we have screened "Mugabe & The White African" Boilerman2, the burner is a nu way, NOL13 on off. it has a 1.5 and 2.5 nozzle on it, which equates to 15ltrs per hour apparently. i think the spray pattern is 60 degree solid. NXR4 looks to be good, with a riello hi low burner...

    Thank you MikeyD, 165kw sounds good, the boiler is an old ideal britannia, was burning solid fuel until the '70s. so i am not sure of its efficiency, probably 60 /70%? we are looking at getting a potterton nxr3 boiler, which claims to be 92% we have a gas supply which is rated at 250kw...

    MDPE Gas Pipe

    Hiya, Can anyone confirm if MDPE gas pipe must be buried or used outside? I am looking at a run of about 60mtrs of 50mm pipe through a roof void, i have had 2 quotes, 1 for tracpipe, 1 for melleable iron. Any thoughts please? Peter
